I remember very vividly the first time I walked into the gym. I was so nervous. I didn't know what to expect. I didn't know if I would be able to actually do the classes. I didn't know if people would be nice. I really didn't know if I even wanted to be there. I was standing outside the studio door trying to decide if I was going to go to class or go home. When I was just about to turn around and go home, someone smiled at me. She asked if that was my first time there. I said yes and she said it was her first time too. We decided that we would go in together. This was 2 years ago. I have been at the gym at least 4-5 days a week now since then. I have developed some great friendships. The instructors at the gym are fantastic. They are so caring and so supportive. They push me and get me out of my comfort zone and I appreciate that. I now have a love for the gym that I never knew I would have. If I don't go to the gym, I miss it. I love the way I feel after I workout. I love getting to spend time with my friends. If you go to the gym on a regular basis, please remember this post. You might be the one person that gives someone the confidence to go into a class. Just smiling at them and saying hello might be all they need to feel comfortable. If you have never been to the gym, try it! You just might end up falling in love like I did.
